Fall Backpack Program

In 2016, parents in Canada spent an average of $400 - $500* in school supplies per child. (*Source: www.statista.com) When a mom has recently gone through significant loss, divorce, or is facing terminal illness, school supplies are an expense that often can't be met. That's why Wonder Women Society, Studio One Tanning & Beauty Lounge, and Booster Juice (Mission) partnered with the Mission Hospice Society to provide 20 backpacks to mothers in need. These mothers were nominated by the Hospice Society and were given backpacks FULL of paper, pencils, pens, erasers, lunch kits and other commonly needed supplies to alleviate the financial and emotional pressure of providing for their kids' needs during the back to school season.
