Scholarship Program

Wonder Women Society understands that having a dream isn't always enough. Sometimes, you need a little help to make your dream a reality. With that in mind, we are thrilled to partner with local businesses and individuals who want to support women in attaining their educational goals in pursuit of their dreams. If YOU would like to be a part of empowering and enabling women to reach their educational goals, please contact us to find out how we can work together to make that a reality for a woman today.

Many thanks to the JBL Foundation for partnering with us to provide our 2023 scholarships in honor of their late family member, Joanne, who had a passion to empower women to become their best selves through education. There were a total of six (6) scholarships awarded for the 2023/24 academic year. Applications came from individuals OR professional organizations or non-profits that chose to nominate a worthy candidate.

2018

Prospera Credit Union $1000 Scholarship for Women in Business

Wonder Women Society and Prospera Credit Union (West Oaks, Abbotsford branch) were so pleased to present this $1000 scholarship to a young woman pursuing an education in Counselling and Social Entrepreneurship, Dana Koop. Dana is an exemplary student who will be entering her second year of her degree in September 2018. In addition to her high marks in school, Dana also currently volunteers regularly at a local seniors' home in her community. She has an extensive history of volunteering for the betterment of her community, from youth programs to social media management. She hopes to one day start her own business and we're excited to see what the future holds for this amazing Wonder Woman! Congratulations, Dana!

Swing Optical $500 Scholarship for Community Supporters

Wonder Women Society is proud to partner with Swing Optical of Mission, BC to present this $500 scholarship to a young woman who exemplifies community involvement and social responsibility, Kashish Arya. Kashish is an honor roll student in her high school and has proven herself to be a leader in her school, both academically and in extracurricular activities, as well as her community. Kashish has been the driving force behind several committees and events, leading others to follow her wonderful example of giving back. Congratulations, Kashish!
